The Clinical Case for DIY Aligners

Analyzing and Setting up the orthodontic case is the crux of your digital orthodontic case.

  • The initial setup for digital orthodontic analysis is non trivial and should done by the clinician who has direct access to the patient. Using third party to setup via second hand information invariably loses something in the translation .. unless of course you have analyzed and setup the case comprehensively (*) to send to the third party vendor in which case you have already done all the work – and still get charged for the setup of the case.
  • (*) AO Seminars empowers the clinician
    • The analysis, setup and differential diagnosis is most efficiently done by the clinician.
      • no to and froing with the lab
      • ability to explore differential treatment option immediately
    • As a clinician the direct control will routinely yield the best result

Adaptive Orthodontics

(*Supplementary) AO uses AUTOLIGN, by Diorco, software for digital orthodontic planning and generating aligners. Diorco has recently release this software as an online version for free (RRP was AUD 12000) , charging only a trivial amount for exporting. This is good value and AO uses this same tool to teach with. So check it out at EZDENTONE and sign up.
